Meet Winston! 🤎🐾
Winston is a 4yo spaniel mix weighing about 22lbs. He came to Sam’s Place after being found with a cord tied around his neck, struggling to breathe. Knowing what he had been through, we expected he might need a lot of time before he felt comfortable with us.
Winston had other ideas. He arrived with a happy spirit that has taken us all by surprise! He’s affectionate, eager to spend time with people, and already knows “sit” and “down.” He walks nicely on a leash, too!
Winston is a little head shy when we put on his collar, which is understandable given what happened to him. We’re taking things gently and giving him time to learn that he’s safe. So far, he’s shown us just how much joy and trust he has to share.
We love this sweet boy already. We can’t wait to see more of his personality as he settles in and begins meeting the other pups at Sam’s Place. The shelter said he did great for their dog test! Keep an eye on Winston’s profile for updates as we get to know him better!
