Oh, Percy… This handsome boy was found as a stray before coming to Sam’s Place. When he first arrived, Percy was sweet but so unsure of the world around him. New people, places, and experiences could be scary, and we knew earning his trust would take a little time.
Well… look at him now.
Percy has absolutely blossomed during his time at Sam’s Place! The once-cautious boy we met is now open, friendly, affectionate, and so happy to meet people. He loves being held and, more than anything, he loves being with his person. If you’re sitting down, Percy sees absolutely no reason why he shouldn’t be right there with you.
There is, however, one thing Percy takes very seriously: his stuffed animals. Percy LOVES his stuffies and can be a little possessive of his prized collection. Apparently, what’s Percy’s is Percy’s, and he would appreciate everyone respecting that very reasonable boundary.
We may never know what Percy experienced before coming to us, but we do know that he’s learned he is safe, loved, and surrounded by friends. Watching his sweet, silly, affectionate personality come shining through has been such a joy.
Percy is ready to find his person – someone with plenty of room in their arms, a spot beside them on the couch, and perhaps a willingness to keep the stuffed-animal supply well stocked.
