Fisher and his siblings were found as strays and brought to the shelter, covered in ticks and in need of some extra TLC. Since then, he’s been soaking up all the love, care, and second chances he can get — and he’s come such a long way.
Fisher is an incredibly sweet, affectionate boy who loves to cuddle. Once he knows and trusts you, he absolutely melts into your arms and wants nothing more than to be close. Because of his rough start, Fisher can be nervous when meeting new people and needs a little time to feel safe.
He would thrive in an active but calm home that can give him patience, consistency, and reassurance. Older children would likely be the best fit for his comfort level. Fisher has been doing great in training and continues to build confidence every day.
He gets along well with other dogs and tends to prefer females over males. We’re actively working on “positive associations” with male dogs in training, but it’s something to keep in mind if you have a male dog at home or frequent dog-heavy environments.
Fisher is a sweetheart with so much love to give — he just needs the right person to help him feel secure. If you think that could be you, submit an application to set up a meet and greet. You don’t want to miss this special boy.
