Meet Dixie, our beloved little senior who has found her forever home at Sam’s Place. Around 12 years old and weighing just 12 pounds, this sweet girl will spend the rest of her days surrounded by our love and receiving dedicated hospice care.
Dixie came to us from Dauntless Dog Rescue after being found in terrible condition. Her rescue team and devoted foster family gave her so much love and care, and we are honored to continue what they began. Her journey to Sam’s Place is a beautiful reminder of what rescues can accomplish when we work together.
Dixie is blind, but she navigates her surroundings well with the help of her excellent hearing. She also has diabetes, which we are managing as part of her ongoing care.
Our focus is on keeping Dixie comfortable, nurturing her spirit, and filling her days with affection and the little things that bring her joy. She is a cherished member of our Sam’s Place family, and this is her home.
For however long we are lucky enough to love her, our promise is simple: Dixie will be safe, cherished, and surrounded by love.
